Grace Sidney Difford grew up on a farm in East Sussex, exposed to the eccentricities of a musical upbringing. At 13 she studied at Brighton College; a full-time boarder, it was here that her fervor for the arts- namely photography – was realized.  Having excelled with unwavering ardor at the latter, she went on to complete a foundation course at Central Saint Martins college. Shortly after, she embarked upon a North American tour with Squeeze, absorbing the continent coast-to-coast over the span of 2 months. The transient landscapes and hectic lifestyle inspired her to document the experience in a photographic journal.

Still enchanted by her time spent in the US, she decided to relocate to New York where she worked for Andy Warhol’s Interview Magazine.

She is now based once more in London, where she divides her time working on her own as a  freelance photographer, and for the prestigious Purple Magazine.
